My client is a growing biopharmaceutical company based in the French part of Switzerland looking to expand their Supply Chain team. Due to this growth my client is looking for a Material Planner-Direct Materials to join their team based around lake Neuchatel. The position is to start ASAP. As part of the Site Supply Chain will oversee and optimize the flow of materials, while considering the production planning, the warehouse capacities and inventory targets with the goal of eliminating potential disruptions to manufacturing and overall operations. Works closely with key stakeholders to develop effective materials workflows that enable improvements in quality, service and innovation. Effectively prioritize work incorporating Operations, Quality and Business requirements.  Responsibilities will include the development and implementation of materials workflows, SOP and instructions; planning processes procedures; best practice inventory planning and replenishment of materials. Responsibilities •                 Develop and implement planning tools, spreadsheet and relational databases •                 Create and maintain planning and logistics metrics to enable process improvements •                 Plan and execute planning of manufacturing and materials. Ensure that materials and related inventory are available on time to support requirements through purchase order creation and management. •                 Coordinate the ERP Project implementation •                 Create and maintain Master BOM s within Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system •                 Coordinate Material Master Data creation, maintenance, verification and troubleshooting •                 Monitor schedule to assure materials are procured within Lead Times established •                 Participate in the decision-making process regarding schedule changes by communicating current inventory levels and anticipated receipts •                 Implement and coordinate best practice inventory planning and replenishment of materials. In collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, manage inventory levels to avoid any obsolescence and report slow moving items •                 Delineate appropriate inventory strategies to manage adequate inventory levels. Monitor expired, obsolete and rejected material to avoid impact to the operations area •                 Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations. Review and maintain appropriate safety stock strategy on a regular basis to maintain optimal level raw material inventory and cost •                 Collaborate closely with MSAT and Process Development to ensure efficient technical transfer of manufacturing processes through creation of accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) •                 Provide and meet timelines for new raw materials that support launch dates •                 Prepare regular status updates for reporting progress, issues, safety, quality etc. •                 Develop and improve relationships with stakeholders •                 Understand and implement internal policies, procedures and specifications   Your profile: •            Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management or scientific disciplines preferred or relevant experience from pharmaceutical industry. •            Must have experience in direct purchasing and raw material •            Must speak English and French •            Minimum of 5 years related experience in Supply Chain or closely related experience in the business •            Knowledge and experience with Materials Planning, Inventory Management, ERP, Logistics, Project Management •            Practical knowledge with cGMP's and understanding of pharma production processes is preferred.
